Dear Friends

After 30 years of unstinting devotion to my work, I have finally put down
my flight-case for the last time.

My trip to Rio was a fitting end to my career. I was surrounded by friends and colleagues whose human and professional qualities were exemplary.
It was a journey filled with joy and good spirits but with a certain wistfulness that, soon, I would no longer be part of the big family of Air France flying crew.
Of my 30 years as cabin crew, I shall only remember the good times,
the wonderful opportunity of meeting people of different cultures, the challenge and satisfaction of working with a new crew on each flight and, above all,
the
pride of working for Air France.
However, I shall remain perfectly aware of the day-to-day reality for cockpit and cabin crew worldwide. We are the guarantors of your safety and well-being inflight – this comes at a price of fatigue and stress too often forgotten.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my colleagues on the ground and in the air for a wonderful « last flight »

·

Thank you Patrick, Laurent and Philippe for getting us safely there and back, your CRM and your welcome for the family members that accompanied us.

·

Thank you Joël for letting me end my career as a Chief Purser !

·

Thank you Bruno and Jorge for being excellent Pursers.

·

Thank you Emmanuelle, Corine and Ouiza for being ‘Les Girls de Brian’ with “élégance à la française” only found on Air France.

·

Thank you Benjamin and Marcel for your good humour and professionalism.

·

Thank you Alex and Aurélie for a fantastic radio message to AF447

·

Special thanks to Tony for putting up with 30 years of my wanderlust!

May I finish this page with a comment sent to me by Laurent about my last flight :

« Your last flight was really great, filled with emotion I had not felt on other
‘last flights’ I had done. We could all really feel how you had treasured your
30 year career. It is heartwarming to see someone retire with a certain wistfulness rather than a sigh of relief. It also shows that you made the right career choice – a career that has left you great memories.
All the crewmembers were quite different but we all joined forces and made things work ! That chemistry can only be understood by those who have had
the unique opportunity of being part of a crew on a major airline. »

A bientôt sur nos lignes
